I’ve finally decided to write a response to the aftermath of what is the Cliff Jennings story.
In my initial letter to News24 I vowed never to watch another episode. Well it took me 4 days to break that promise. Why? Because I wanted to see Cliff Jennings of course!
I wanted to see how MNET was going to explain the whole debacle.
Surprise, Surprise they neither confirmed nor denied the story.
What I find more interesting is the responses from other quarters.
The online community and fellow bloggers have come out is support of my amateur investigative journalism. Thank you all for your support (Shaun Oakes/Eishman and many others)
The responses on this blog and Facebook haven’t been so flattering. On Facebook there’s even a group called “I hate Bruinman”.
On this blog:

“i hope you die a slow brown/black death”
“fokof hotnot”
“You're an absolute wanker! You obviously couldn't hack it as a journo, so you thought you'd bolsh your way in this way. Still won't get there. Such a dork.”
I must have upset quite a few people. I will however bet that he has disappointed more people than I’ve upset. He claims to be living the Dream and on his Facebook quotes he states more than once “Keep it real”. What was real about it? Numerous messages on Facebook have stated that Cliff is/was inspiration to many watchers of Idols. They have found out earlier than later that their inspiration was a fake. He was paid by an agency to do it. He is an actor. He did it for money. ¶ 9/04/2007 01:18:00 AM

Dat die Bruin Belange Inisiatief– ‘n doodgebore vassilleerende oneerlike bang gat organisasie is, wat Bruinmense se Politieke , Kulturele en Maatskaplike aspirasies in ewigdurende ballingskap wil hou.
Ons weier om nog weereens politieke agterspeendrinkers te wees wat gemislei gaan word deur ‘n paar “Nutty Professors” en Kolligsoekers wie halfdronk of halfnugter in plesiersoorde, oor die lot van ons mense besleg, en in hulle politieke babalaasheid geweier het om ‘n politieke vervoermiddel vir die Bruinman te verwesenlik .
Verder weier ons dat die bruinman enigsins verder as ‘n tragiese lagwekkende karakter – “Die JollyHotnot” weer in volgende jaar se verkiesing soos vergeetagtige politieke wandelaars deur Partye UITGEBUIT , UITGESTAL en UITGEPIT word, en dan soos toiletpapier na die onbekende politieke rioolvlaktes as politieke kunsmus UITGESPOEL word .
Ons weier ook om weereens as politieke suigelinge of adolesente weereens in die lokval, die ongevalle te word van hulle politieke Samesweerderye Ons VERWERP verder die “House NIGGER” denkwyse van die sogenaamde Bruinlose Breinlose Inisiatief !!!

Divide and rule. This is how any organisation of colour will assist the regime of the day. The white Nats did it well since 1935; the black Nats will follows suit.
The BBI has potential IF the leadership does it right viz by deleting the term bruin like the not even intelligent owners of the Karoo Kleurling Hotel in my town die with kleurling. Then it forms a body to uplift all those who are marginalised by the Anc government, policies and practices. Then is consults on a manifesto for the people of South Africa- across colour lines. Then it recruits members on a programme for those people. Then it wins the election in 2014 and serves the same. Easy as ABC?

Greetings bruinman,
I wonder if you would be so kind as to give us your opinion of our political party here in the Western Cape.
My name is Walter Laurie and I am the Helderberg Representative for a fairly new political party called the CAPE PARTY, which has at it's core the desire to turn the Western Cape province into an Independent state free from what we perceive to be South African tyranny. We are not linked to the Orania movement in any way and seek to establish safety and security for Afrikaans and English people alike. We are also not racially motivated but rather seek to preserve democracy, the free market economy, western values and the rule of law on this continent.
We would hugely appreciate it if you took a look at our movement, and possibly even gave some feedback should you feel the need to.
